15 Month Check-up

Addy had her 15 month check-up yesterday. She did not have a good time! She got 3 shots and blood taken. :( The doctor said her iron levels have not come up at all despite vitamins and yogurt with iron added, so we now have to add iron drops in addition to these things. They smell and taste horrible, so that is going to be a challenge. Everything else went fine though. Addy is still very petite, but is developing right on track. Here are her stats:

Length - 28 1/2 inches (5th percentile)
Weight - 18.5 lbs (below 5th percentile)

Fall Fun

Ear Tube Adventure

Today Addy got her ear tubes, and it has been quite a day! The day started at 3 am when she woke up wanting milk. She could not have anything to eat or drink after midnight, so it took me about an hour to get her back to bed with no milk. We headed to the surgery center at 6 am. She did great there. She went back to the OR around 7:30, and was done in no time. We were on the road back home by 8:15 am. Then the craziness began. She projectile vomited 7 times on the way home. I had to keep pulling over to make sure she was alright. She was really crazy when we got home. I guess the anesthesia did not agree with her at all. It took about a half hour to calm her down. I also had to strip her and wash her whole car seat! Once she was calm, I put her in the tub to wash the puke off. She decided it would be a good time to poop! I was very stressed by this point because I was trying to help her and sanitize everything in the bathroom. The doctors said she would sleep for 2-3 hours, but in true Addy form, she only slept for 20 minutes! I can't wait for bed tonight! She is doing much better now, and is almost back to her normal self. I hope no more surgeries are in her future!

Julian

We have a new nephew!

We are so excited that Kelly and Eric welcomed Julian Michae Comerford last night! He was born at 9:45 p.m. He was 19 1/2 inches long and weighed 6 lbs 9 oz. We can't wait to meet him! I don't have a picture of him yet, so I will put a few of Addy up. :)

Update

It has been awhile since I have blogged, but we have all been really busy. We did have time to take a quick trip to Gatlingburg, and we had a great time. Addy enjoyed herself, but she had a lingering ear infection that got worse while we were there - poor kid! We are taking her to the doctor next week to get re-checked after the new antibiotic and to evaluate for tubes.
JC and I have both been very busy with work also. He is starting to get busy earlier than normal, and we have been crazy at work with flu season and giving flu shots every day. We are looking forward to a much needed vacation in October!

Birthday Party # 2 & Doctor Visit

We headed to Peru this past weekend to celebrate Addy's first birthday. We had such a good time seeing all of the family and having a party. Addy got to show all the grandparents how she can walk really well now, and she had a great time! She got lots of fun presents too!
This morning we headed to the doctor for her one year check up. She is doing great. She has low iron, so we are starting iron drops, but other than that she is perfect. Here are her current stat:

Head: 17.5 inches (25th percentile)
Length: 27 1/8 inches (10th percentile)
Weight: 17 lbs 3 oz (3rd percentile)

She is still a little peanut, but she is growing! :)
